Budleigh Salterton Under-16s served up their most inept performance of the season when they were beaten at home by a team that had won just once in the season prior to their visit to Greenway Lane, writes SpursTom.

The Robins struck first with a goal as early as the second minute thanks to a left wing run and perfect cross by Alec Larsson-Carter catching the visiting back line cold allowing Russel Williams an easy tap in.

The Exeter side were quick to regroup and later deservedly equalised, taking advantage of some bad marking!

Missing some regulars the Robins cause was not helped by some of the team having clearly spent the previous evening partying! The second period started with both teams going close. The visitor’s aggressive play gave them the edge and three goals in the period between the 65th and 68th minute saw them to a comfortable success.

The visitor scorers were Johnathan Holmes, Corey Jones and Callum Pringle (2).

On Saturday the Robins entertain table-toppers Ottery St Mary.
