Budleigh Croquet Club Bridge success for Mellor and Coton

21:26 05 March 2014

The Bridge section of the Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club took part in a charity simultaneous pairs event last week, writes Maureen Smith.

It was held to support the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and organised by the Devon Bridge Association.

An enjoyable evening was had by all taking part with many interesting hands to play.

Top scorers from this club with 60.73 per cent were Barbara Mellor and Helen Coton.

They held 14th position overall of all the players from the 11 Devon clubs participating.

The table money and proceeds from a raffle raised a worthy £167 for charity.
