A group of 52 Bridge players, mainly from the Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club have recently returned from a weekend at The Royal Hotel, Woolacombe, Devon where, despite the challenging weather all had a great time.

The event was organised by James Homer assisted by Maureen Smith.

The worthy winners of each session all received wine or luxury chocolates.

On Friday evening it was Pat Joseph and Sheila Johnson with 68.18 per cent and the pairing of Anna and Robin Hunt with 66.20 per cent.

The following evening the triumphant pairings were Ann and Brian Lake (58.48 per cent) and Rosemary Bradshaw and Rosemary Carmichael (66.65 per cent).

Sunday morning’s winners were against Ann and Brian Lake (63.10 per cent) and Niall Litton and Rosemary Bradshaw (67.86 per cent).

The Lake pairing of Ann and Brian were again winners on Sunday evening with a score of 59.09 per cent alongside Jacky Forshaw and Suki Commin with 64.04 per cent.
