There was more success for the Budleigh men in the Exeter and District Over-60s Triples League as they took six of the eight points at home to Hemyock A, writes David Roberts.

The 39-29 success further consolidated their position in the Division Two table.

Bill Barber, Paul Griffin and skip Andrew Cardy played well together and did not give their opponents a look-in as they won convincingly 24-7. On the other rink, Tony Barnes, Pete Hillman and David Roberts started well, but couldn’t hold their consistency and were always chasing the match. However, despite their seven shot defeat, they did enough to ensure the overall win for the team. Coming fixtures see the ladies travel to Okehampton in the Over-50s triples league in search of much-needed points, whilst a mixed team visits Heavitree. The club is host to Loughborough Greenfields Bowls Club and the club play their Centenary cup at the end of the week.
