Bad weather was no deterrent at last week’s Open Days at Budleigh Croquet Club, writes Elaine Marsh.

Despite rain on Thursday and fog on Saturday, some thirty visitors enjoyed trying out croquet and bowls enough to sign up for temporary membership. They will all now enjoy a four week introduction to the game of their choice with coaching and equipment loan for just £20.

If you missed out, it’s not too late to join them – just contact the club to arrange a visit when you can try your hand at either game.

You can get in touch by email enquiries@budleighcroquet.org

or telephone 01395 442548.

Please be sure to leave your name and phone number so the club can contact you.
