There are very genuine concerns at Budleigh Salterton Football Club regarding the forthcoming important club officer posts.

From May 1 this year the Robins need a full set of individuals to fill important off-the-pitch jobs at the Greenway Lane club.

The requirements are for a secretary, treasurer, bar treasurer, PAYE individual and a new committee.

Budleigh’s John Brett says: “We also need people to run the match day kitchen, prepare and print match day programmes (League rules require we produce at least a team sheet) as well as individuals to man the gate on match days. At present no one has come forward and, with the end of April four short months away it is a worry that is increasing in size as each day goes by! The blunt truth is that without a set of people to run things off the pitch their will be no Budleigh Football Club and I urge anybody locally who would like to get involved to please get in touch as soon as possible. My message to the supporters is that there are a matter of weeks remaining to save the club, it’s a club that belongs to the supporters and it’s now very much a case of over to you!”
