Brixington United Under-15 produced a superb second half performance to bag a first win of the season at the fifth time of asking as they defeated visiting Crediton Youth 8-2.
It’s been a feature of the United early season that, whilst they have created chance after chance, finding the back of the opposition net had proved elusive – until this game!
Mind you, at half-time it was a case of ‘same old story’ as they trailed to an early goal before netting twice to lead at half-time with Max Howard and Sam Carmody the scorers.
A half-time word from coach Ian Horne clearly did the trick for after the break United found a new gear and scored six more with Jack Wall hitting a hat-trick and both Bradley Snook and Cameron Brown bagging singles before the impressive Howard finished what he started, scoring his side’s eighth and final goal.
