Brixington United Under-11s started their season in sensational style beating local rivals Lympstone Lympets 10-0, writes Mike Graham.
Tom Real put Brixington ahead after five minutes before Jack Ottaway doubled their lead after some good work by Ryan Daffin. George Pritchard struck next before Jack Ottaway got his second drilling a left foot shot into the corner of the net.
After the break it was Joseph Vincent’s turn to get on the score sheet bagging two goals in as many minutes.
After putting in some fantastic crosses from the touchline, Joe Graham finally got the goal he deserved blasting a low shot past the keeper.
Further goals were scored by Freddie Cotton, Joe Tozer and a pile driver from the edge of the box by George Gelling that completed the scoring.
Mntion must also go to Jayden Gore who worked tirelessly in defence and Ieuan Brockway who made some superb saves in the Brixington goal to deny the Lympets a consolation.
