The Wodbury Park seniors have started their Winter Eclectic, writes Carole Pye.
This is a stableford competition spread over five matches which enables players to progressively improve their scores on individual holes.
The competition is divided into two groups based on handicap.
In the initial round Roy Barber (37) won the first division whilst Norman Baker with 36 won the second.
Paul Crocock led the mid-week competition with 35 points, just edging out Chris Hatherly on 34.
Played on the winter course, the weekend competition format was a team stableford with two scores out of four to count on the front nine and three scores to count on the back.
After count back Steven Robb with Paul Richie and Steve Newman plus a ghost player came first with 108 points nudging David Cawse, Andrew Blakemore, John Cowl and Paula Cowl into the runners-up position.
