It's been a mixed week of nervy shoot out wins, heavy defeats and huge triumphs for Budleigh Salterton.

On Saturday, April 27, Budleigh Salterton FC 1st met Ipplepen in the A&S Interiors Ltd Devon Football League, League Cup.

They came through on penalties 4-2, after the sides drew 1-1 in normal 90 minutes play.

Budleigh's opponents in the next round will be Newtown away from home.

In the league’s North East Division on May 4, they lost away at North Molton Sports Club by 1-5.

Their final league match is on Wednesday, May 8 at home against Appledore.

Monday, April 29, brought great joy for Budleigh Salterton 2nd, who enjoyed their first victory of 2024 with a convincing 4-1 performance away at Bravehearts 1st.

The Robins' scoring heroes were Greg MacMartin (2), Paul Barnes (1) and substitute Max Robertson.

They ended their Devon & Exeter Football League Division 3 season on Saturday, May 4 by being hit for six away to Heavitree United 1st.

On Thursday, May 9, they take on Farway United in the Devon County F.A. Grandisson Cup Quarter Final.

In the Devon Women’s Football League Premier Division for Budleigh Salterton Women, Kelsey Salter netted twice, but they were beaten 2-5 by Plympton on Sunday, April 28.

A few league matches are left to play for the Robinettes.

Now there's Budleigh Salterton F C Veterans Reds in the Stitch2Print Devon County Veterans League, Division One.

On Friday April 26, they met the division leaders Inter City at home.

They could not stop such a powerful outfit, as the Robins Vets were hit 7-0.

On Wednesday, May 1, it was the Kepring League Cup Semi-Final and a trip to Dawlish United where they lost 1-2 to miss out on a cup final place.

It is still unclear how many of their remaining league matches will take place.

The end of the 2023-2024 season is in sight.
