Pub-goers are in for an undead surprise tonight.

Barricade your doors, board up your windows and prepare for a Friday night with an undead difference.

Tonight Exmouth town centre will become ground-zero for a zombie outbreak.

Friday night revellers will be in for a surprise this evening as these shambling walkers do not want brains, they want selfies.

Experienced make-up artists Shelley and Ian will be giving a small group of volunteers a full zombie makeover, after which they will be released onto the streets.

A spokesman for the event said: “Tonight, we want as many people out and about as possible to come and find the Zombies and we will be taking some fun photographs that will be posted online, free of charge, for people to grab hold of.

“Ultimately, what we are aiming for is the testing of the waters to see if we can make this a bigger event, and trying to organise a Zombie take-over and put Exmouth on the Walking Dead map.”

If you want to see Exmouth’s zombie infestation thrive get up close and personal, take pictures and post your best zombie snaps on social media.

The town can thank Ruby Fury Activewear for the unusual Friday night revellers; the event is sponsored by the Exmouth based clothing brand to celebrate its new Halloween range.
