Seven-year-olds Saffron Heale and Heaven-Leigh Norris and eight-year-olds James Forson and Anna Fiaschi were warmly welcomed to the church.

During the Mass, concelebrated by Father Colin Furness and Father Gerard Wilberforce, the children read special prayers. Afterwards, they were presented with certificates and gifts before joining parishioners for refreshments and cakes, in the parish meeting room.

Their First Holy Communion took place a week earlier in The Blessed Sacrament Church, in Heavitree, where they were joined by 22 youngsters from both of the Exeter parishes, for the event.
