Health care charity Westbank are holding two volunteering open day events in Exmouth on Wednesday, September 27.

A health care charity is urging people to come forward to help those in need in Exmouth.

Westbank is holding a volunteer recruitment open day on Wednesday, September 27,

The charity, which aims to provide car and promote health, is urging residents to become Exmouth ‘neighbourhood friends’.

Westbank will be holding two events on the day – at Exmouth Tennis and Leisure Centre, Withycombe Village Road between 10am and noon, and another at Exmouth Leisure Centre, Royal Avenue, between 3.30pm and 6pm.

Sarah Forde, project manager, said: “Volunteers can get involved at a level to suit them, and give as much or as little time as they are able to.

“Free training is provided including an induction programme with continued support to help all volunteers. Agreed out of pocket expenses will also be paid.”
