Firefighters found vehicle well alight in Tesco car park after numerous calls from the public on Saturday night

A pick-up truck was destroyed in a suspected arson attack at Axminster on Saturday night.

Firefighters received numerous calls to attend the blaze in the car park outside Tesco supermarket at around 10.20pm.

The found the van well alight and two crew wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire which was extinguished with two hosereel jets.

It is thought the fire was started deliberately and anyone with information should all police on 101.
