Two people have been taken to hospital after a road traffic collision in Exmouth yesterday evening.

The incident, described by the ambulance service as a head-on collision, happened in St Johns Road at around 8.15pm.

Two cars were involved, with fire crews having to cut the roof from one of them to free an occupant.

Two casualties, a man with chest pains and a cut to his hand, and a female patient with minor injuries, were taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
