A new bank has opened its doors in Exmouth this week, with the return to the town of TSB.
It has opened with the rebranding of the former Lloyds TSB in The Strand, which is one of 631 such branches across the country to become part of the new TSB, with the rest reverting to Lloyds Bank.
Currently TSB remains part of Lloyds Banking Group, but it is operating as a separate bank, and will eventually be sold off, probably in 2014, following a European Commission ruling in 2009.
The change means that customers of the Exmouth branch of Lloyds TSB will have automatically become customers of TSB.
The new bank was opened on Monday by Exmouth mayor John Humphreys, who said: “On behalf of the town I wish everybody involved in this new chapter at TSB Exmouth the very best for the future.”
