Budleigh town centre will be looking better than ever for seasonal shoppers this year, after the chamber of commerce confirmed the purchase of new Christmas lights.
The chamber, which has sole responsibility for the lights, started a programme of upgrading them last year, when around £11,000 was spent, and this year another £4,000 has been invested.
Some of the new lights will replace old ones in High Street and Fore Street, while others will be in new locations outside Budleigh Salterton Medical Centre, St Peter’s Parish Church, and Fairlynch Museum.
The chamber is hoping to put up the lights on November 24.
