EURO FEAR: A Tory euro MP for the region, which includes East Devon, has railed against moves towards a continental ‘superstate’.

Ashley Fox MEP said that last week 11 European foreign ministers began pushing for further European Union integration, including moves towards a European army and an European government.

He said: “In my opinion the whole idea is absurd.

“This is a dangerous push towards the creation of a European federal state which very few in Britain want.”
