Staff at a Topsham care agency have been praised in a Care Quality Commission report

A Topsham domiciliary care agency has been praised for its ‘kind’ and ‘wonderful’ members of staff.

Partners in Care, in the High Street, is the home of 34 residents, over 65, that have Dementia and other physical disabilities.

At the beginning of this month, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) undertook a surprise inspection and rated the home as good in all five of its categories – safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness and how well-led it was.

It was noted how safe residents felt and how one pensioner had said they ‘did not know what they would do without them (their carers)’.

In the CQC report, inspectors said: “We heard many examples of praise for care and kindness of the staff.

“Comments from people included – ‘the girls just treat you as family’ and ‘They are wonderful. You cannot fault them. I have never had so much help from carers. They are so lovely’.
