Plans to build an access bridge to a property over Littleham Brook have been supported by Exmouth Town Council. Read this and more.

SUPPORT FOR BRIDGE: Plans to build an access bridge to a property over Littleham Brook have been supported by Exmouth Town Council.

Councillors said the plan, for Brookdale, should go ahead, subject to conservation and Environment Agency reports.

East Devon District Council will now rule on the plan.

TOP WOMEN SOUGHT: Calling all women trailblazers – the hunt is on to find Britain’s brightest female.

Women in Exmouth and East Devon are being urged to enter the 2013 First Women Awards.

Created in 2005 by Real Business and the CBI, the First Women Awards recognise pioneering women who are setting the agenda for future generations across a range of sectors – from business and the media to engineering and technology.

The closing date for entries is Friday, April 5, with the awards ceremony taking place at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square on Wednesday, June 12, hosted by broadcaster and sports presenter, Clare Balding.
