Topsham charity Devon in Sight hit the bullseye when it held a successful event to let clients and members of the public try their hand at archery.
The charity, which provides services for blind and visually impaired people, organised the trip to the Haven Banks outdoor centre, on Exeter Quay, after staff were inspired by the Olympics and Paralympics.
Ben Gavan, Devon in Sight’s outreach and activities worker, said: “We thought it would be a great idea for our clients, members and others to give archery a try so we were delighted when Haven Banks were able to help out.
“It was a great, fun activity which was really enjoyed by all those who went along, and everyone who took part improved as they got into the sport!”
“I’d like to thank Haven Banks for allowing us to come along, and in particular activities instructors Chris Gowing and Mike Tomlinson who helped make it such an enjoyable event.”
One of those who took part, Devon in Sight member Lynne Rossiter, said: “It was absolutely brilliant.
“I got better and better as I went on.”
