Workers will don coloured clothing to help a nationwide initiative to raise awareness of, and money for, the charity this month.

The Fore Street store will be among 550 shops across the country aiming to net cash through donations from customers.

The outlet will also sell heart shaped badges for a £1 donation - with the caption: “A little pin-a lot of love.”

February is National Heart Month.

BHF has raised £4.9million since starting the scheme in 2009.

From red nails, to a red tie, socks or a top to toe outfit, the BHF is urging Sidmouth residents to follow staff members’ example and wear red on National Wear Red Day. Every penny raised will help the nation’s heart charity to beat heart disease.

Heart and circulatory disease is the UK’s biggest killer.

It kills one in three men and one in three women. It kills three times more women than breast cancer.
