Lucky Budleigh shoppers will be on a spree in the town’s stores after winning a grand draw to celebrate 50 years of the East Devon AONB.
Tickets for the draw, run by Budleigh Chamber of Commerce and Budleigh Lions Club, were on sale in the town for several weeks, and last weekend the winners were drawn by town mayor Steve Hall.
The prizes were made up of vouchers to be spent in chamber member shops, with three top prize winners winning £50, and three runners-up winning £30 and £20.
Chamber chairman Christine Bentley said: “The chamber would like to thank all who took part, and were greatly encouraged by the way the public entered the spirit of the event, and of course the businesses who sold the tickets and ones who will redeem them. It has been completely funded by the chamber.”
