Devon County Council has released times and dates of opening hours for a range of services available over the festive period.

Residents in Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and the surrounding villages have been reminded that staff at Devon County Council (DCC) will be working through the festive period to make sure people can access vital services.

The authority’s My Devon customer services call centre will be available from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm - with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

It will reopen for business with its usual operating hours of Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm from Wednesday, January 2.

Christmas clutter can be recycled at DCC’s recycling centres – like Knowle Hill, in Exmouth.

The centres will be operating during normal winter opening times - Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4.30pm.

This is, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day, when they will be closed.

Everything from Christmas trees, wrapping paper, cards and cardboard boxes to glass bottles, televisions and fridges can be recycled at the centres.
