TOWN TALK: An illustrated talk on the historic development of South Devon seaside towns is being given in Lympstone.

The speaker will be David Daniel, who will be concentrating on Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth and Dawlish.

The talk is being jointly organised by the Lympstone Historic Houses Group and the Lympstone History Society, and takes place next Wednesday (March 20), at 7.30pm, at Lympstone Methodist Church.

The talk is open to all, with admission costing £3 including refreshments.

FUNDRAISER: A Devon Big Breakfast event is being held in Woodbury to raise money for cancer charity FORCE.

It takes place at the village hall on March 23, between 8am and 11.30am.

Tickets cost £5 for a full English breakfast, or £2.50 for under 12s.

Buying tickets in advance will guarantee a breakfast, but they can also be bought on the door.

SPECIAL EDITION: A craft workshop held at Japonica, on The Parade, raised £75 for Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare.

The 15th special edition craft workshop event was hosted by Susan Arscott.

Japonica owner Janet Caudrelier held a raffle during the workshop to raise funds for the charity.
