A fundraising jumble sale is being held at Marpool Primary School. Read this and more.
FOR SCHOOL COFFERS: A fundraising jumble sale is being held at Marpool Primary School.
It takes place this Saturday between 2pm and 3.15pm, at the school hall in Moorfield Road.
Quality clothes, bric-a-brac, toys, games and books, including a large selection of adult fiction, will be available, along with refreshments, and admission will cost 20p.
All profits will go to the school PTA fund.
WOODBURY HOME BID: Plans to build a new home in Woodbury have been approved by East Devon District Council.
The plan would see a two-storey home being built at Penryn, with an existing single-storey home being demolished.
COLOURFUL EVENT: The annual Christian Aid Rainbow Fair is being held at Tower Street Methodist Hall.
It takes place on October 13 at 10 am. There will be a table sale with books, cakes, DVDs and cards. Tea and coffee will be served.
There will also be a three-course cooked lunch available from 11.45am, at a cost of £4. Admission will be free. All profits will go the Christian Aid.
TREES FACE AXE: Plans to cut down four trees at a Brixington home have been approved by Exmouth Town Council.
The trees, at Marley House in Higher Marley Road, were said to be in poor condition. Councillors were told there was a risk one could fall into the road.
NEW HOME BACKED: Plans to create a new home in Exmouth have been approved by town councillors.
A building to the rear of 47 Egremont Road would be converted to form the dwelling. East Devon District Council will now rule on the plan.
