Summer fair in aid of the RSPCA’s Little Valley animal shelter is being held in Exmouth on Saturday. Read this and more.

ANIMAL AID: A summer fair in aid of the RSPCA’s Little Valley animal shelter is being held in Exmouth on Saturday, July 21, at All Saints Church hall, in Exeter Road, from 10am until noon. There will be a host of stalls, including jumble, toys, linen, bric-a-brac and books. Entry is 50p. Donations of goods are welcome on the day.

COACH TRIP: Age Concern Exmouth is organising a coach trip to Weston-super-Mare on Wednesday, July 25.

The coach leaves Exmouth coach park at 9.30am prompt and returns at around 5.30pm. The fare is £12. Booking is essential as numbers are limited. For more information, call in at Age Concern in Rolle Street.

ART DAY: Tutored drawing days are being held at A la Ronde on July 28 and again on August 23.

The days of drawing in the grounds of the National Trust property are with professional artist Yvonne Taylor. Booking is essential as numbers are limited. Sessions cost £20 per person. For more information call 01395 265514.

APPEAL EVENT: Live music, a barbecue and stalls are among the charity entertainment planned in Exmouth’s Strand and Manor Gardens on August 25 and 27. The family fun and table sale event, from 11am until 6pm, is in aid of the Ryan Edwards Appeal. Young Ryan is battling a rare form of cancer. Raffle tickets will be on sale with a host of prizes up for grabs. For more information about to the event, or to get involved, telephone 07590 915840.

FUNDRAISER: Stallcombe House’s summer fete is being held on Saturday, July 21, from 11am until 4pm.

The fun-filled day for all the family promises a host of entertainment, including a mini assault course, dog show, a human gyroscope, air rifle shooting and archery and lots more.

There will also be many stalls and prizes to be won.

Admission is £1 per vehicle. Stallcombe House, a residential home for adults with learning disabilities, is at Sanctuary Lane, Woodbury Salterton.

LOST LOCKET: An appeal for help has been made by the owners of a locket lost in Exmouth’s town centre on Tuesday, July 3.

The silver locket, with photos and an engraved inscription, was lost at 11.30am. The owner of the locket is offering a reward for its safe return. If you can help, call 01395 443840.

MUSEUM TALK: The redevelopment of Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum is the talk being given by a museum volunteer at the next Exmouth and district U3A meeting.

The group will meet at 10am at Exmouth Pavilion for a 10.30am start.
