Dogs and their owners braved Sunday’s stormy weather to showcase their furry friends in a collection of fun dog show classes including, fastest treat eater, best mongrel, most adorable golden oldie, the cutest puppy, or dog performing the best trick.

The dog show, a new addition for the Commando Challenge and sponsored by Corner House Vets, Exmouth, was organised after noticing the number of dogs in previous years brought along by spectators cheering on competitors.

The Commando Challenge mud run gives entrants an authentic experience, taking on the same endurance course tackled by Royal Marine recruits vying to earn the coveted Green Beret.

Entrants are pitted against gruelling and challenging obstacles, many including immersion in water, on Woodbury Common, while raising money for The Royal Marines Charity and the Devon Air Ambulance.
