The Exmouth Christmas Lights group (ECL) has received another donation to help it towards its fundraising target.

It came after group co-ordinator Laura Freeman visited the Rotary Club of Exmouth Raleigh to talk about the campaign to secure the festive lights, with the club subsequently donating a cheque for £100.

Laura said: “I am so incredibly pleased with the support and generosity of the people in Exmouth to help support the local Christmas lights. The Rotary Club took time to listen about ECL, and we are delighted with their wonderful donation of £100.”

As well as the Rotary Club donation, ECL also held a recent awareness weekend at Tesco, raising £353.62, and an awareness raising mid-summer Christmas Eve party through the town.

The group said it would like to thank those who donated and supported them at both events.

Laura said: “The awareness days at Tesco and the mid-summer Christmas Eve party were also a great success.

“I think it’s so important getting out there and speaking to people face to face about the work we are doing.

“I hope it shows people not only how dedicated we are as a team, but also how small we are as a team, and that we desperately need everyone’s help in Exmouth. So if you want Christmas lights this year, get in touch!”
