Youngsters at an Exmouth toddler group are cooking up playtime fun thanks to a Rotary Club donation.

The Rotary Club of Exmouth Raleigh donated £80 to Little Squirrels toddler group, which meets at the Scout Hut in Marpool Hill, to buy a new toy kitchen.

A Rotary Club spokesman said: “We are delighted to make a donation to assist Little Squirrels.

“We consider a group such as Little Squirrels, being a charitable organisation run by a volunteer committee who work hard to provide a service to the local community, a very worthy recipient of our financial support. We wish them every success for the future.”

The toddler group meets at the Scout Hut from 9.45am to 11.45am every school weekday but Monday.

It is a drop-in group where anyone caring for children aged up to five years old is welcome.

Mums, dads, grandparents and childminders all attend the sessions, which include play, craft activities and singing.

Children’s snacks and hot drinks for adults are included in the session fees of £2 for one child, £1 for a second child for six months and 50p for additional children for six months.

For more information about the group, contact Sarah Olieff on 07855 241661 or email sarah.olieff@yahoo.co.uk.
