People with diabetes are to get a helping hand thanks to an Exmouth supermarket and the Exmouth branch of the Royal Marines’ Association (RMA).

Every year, the RMA holds several collections at the Tesco store in Salterton Road, raising hundreds of pounds for its work.

As a thank you for being allowed to collect at the store, the RMA makes a donation to Tesco’s chosen charity, which this year is Diabetes UK. Exmouth Tesco’s community champion, Karen Hodges, was therefore happy to accept a cheque for £250 from RMA members.

Tesco nationally is hoping to raise £18million for Diabetes UK.
