Exmouth’s Third Age Project has a series of talks lined up during September. Read this and more.

TALK SCHEDULE: Exmouth’s Third Age Project has a series of talks lined up during September.

Medicine in the 18th and 19th century in Devon is a talk given by Andrew Knox on Monday, September 10, starting at 10.30am.

The retired consultant surgeon at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital will be at the Bastin Hall, in Elm Grove. All are welcome.

CLIMATE CHANGE: South West Water will lead a talk at Bicton’s Earth Centre on how to adapt to climate change and the impact it has on water.

The Transition Town Exmouth event, which will discuss ways of curbing hosepipe bans, is being held at Home Farm, Bicton, on Thursday, September 17 at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

FLORAL INSIGHT: A church flowers demonstration takes place at 2pm in Woodbury Village Hall on Tuesday, September 18.

Floral designer Sarah Pepper will reveal top tips and new styles for those wanting more out of their church flowers. Tickets are £8, including tea and cake. The event is in support of Friends of Holy Trinity Church, Woodbury Salterton. To reserve your place call Sheila on 01395 233168.
