The Wings Bar in The Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) club in Exmouth is now fully open and has two new stewards.
Mervyn Hines and Dee Brooks took on the mantle on September 14.
Branch chairman Reg Abbott said: “I would like to welcome our new stewards’ Mervyn and Dee.
“We have brand-new kitchen and Mervyn is a qualified chef and now we are going to start serving food again on a daily basis like Sunday roasts.”
He said they hoped to refurbish the roof, the exterior and the inside of the club in the near future – but it will still retain the ‘ethos’ and décor appropriate for a RAFA club.
He added: “It is a private members club but you don’t have to be a former member of the armed forces to join; we will consider anybody.
“All former and current members of the RAF are automatic members.”
Membership is £10 a year or £15 for a couple.
