School pupils and toddlers from primary schools and pre-schools raised hundreds of pounds for Sport Relief on Friday by running a mile.

Woodbury Salterton School raised for £60.50 and Marpool Primary School pupils raised £506.

At Marpool the day started with a ‘Wake Up, Shake Up’ exercise routine for all children, staff and parents. Parents stayed for a coffee while the children ate their decorated sporty gingerbread men.

Throughout the day, all children completed their mile challenge, in a variety of imaginative ways and the day ended with a cake raffle.
