Pre-school’s bags of help for Scope

Youngsters at an Exmouth pre-school have thought of others in the run-up to Christmas by donating to a local charity shop.
Children, parents and staff at All Saints Preschool have collected around 15 bags of donations for the Scope shop in Exeter Road, as part of the charity’s Great Donate campaign.
The pre-school says it will be continuing to collect for Scope throughout the academic year.
Pre-school leader Helena Meineck said: “We were very happy to take part in helping Scope. We recognise the importance of helping charities that offer support for all families with disabled children and that is something very important to the staff and committee at All Saints.
“Although we are a charity ourselves, we like to adopt a charity a year and help them. This is the initial starting point, but we’ll be collecting bags for them throughout the year.”
Scope Exmouth manager Leslee Wellman said: “We are extremely grateful to all the families that took part as each bag filled can potentially raise £20 for the charity. Scope works with and supports disabled people and their families, and our vision is to build a society where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.”
“Donating good quality items for our shop to sell goes a long way in helping us to achieve this so any donations of clothes, bric-a-brac, shoes or unwanted Christmas presents, are always very welcome.”
