Otterton parish councillors have pledged to write to county highways chiefs about pot holes in roads in the village. Read this and more.

POTHOLE PROBLEM: Otterton parish councillors have pledged to write to county highways chiefs about pot holes in roads in the village.

There have been complaints about pot holes in Fore Street opposite The King’s Arms.

Other concerns include the water running down Ladram Road from opposite ‘Otterhayes’ and the fallen tree in Behind Hayes.

ALL SAINTS: People with fundraising skills are being sought to to help seek funding to finish the refurbishment of East Budleigh Church Hall to make it fit for purpose for the 21st century and to project mange the works.

Some funding is already available. Contact the Reverend Anne Charlton on: 01395 444276.

SERVICE OF LIGHT: Budleigh Salterton Hospiscare and Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare will be holding their annual service of light on Wednesday, December 5, 7pm at the Holy Trinity Church,Exmouth.

SANDBAGS: Otterton residents can get sandbags to prevent flooding. Cllr Tony Farrington has 100 sand bags available. Call him on: 01395 567330.

SALEM CHAPEL: Salem Chapel will be holding a Christmas tree festival on Friday, November 30, Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2 from 2pm to 5pm each day.

At 4pm on Sunday, December 2, the annual advent service will be held.

PLANNING: Plans have been filed with the district council to build a two-storey and single-storey rear extension at 5A Cliff Terrace Budleigh Salterton.
