Police checks have been carried out in Exmouth in a bid to crackdown on speeding.

Exmouth police have been carrying out speed checks in the Littleham area following concerns from residents.

At the recent Littleham Residents Association meeting, neighbourhood beat manager PC Simon Blyth promised a crackdown, with checks being carried out both night and day.

Speed checks carried out earlier this month on vehicles travelling north outside Littleham Primary School have revealed 38 were travelling below 20mph, some 19 were recorded at a speed of between 21 and 25mph and four vehicles were travelling between 26 and 30mph.
