Police probe Sidmouth assault

Victim ‘knocked out’, say detectives

AN assault probe has been launched by detectives after a man was knocked unconscious in Market Square on Saturday night.

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, which took place between midnight and 1am.

“The male victim was assaulted and knocked unconscious by another male,” said DC Vicky Grimwood of Honiton CID. Contact police with information on 101, crime reference: KS/12/97.
