CHORISTER FOR A DAY: Exeter Cathedral is inviting boys and girls aged between seven and nine to try being a chorister for a day.

The ‘taster’ day on Saturday, November 17, will give youngsters the chance to quiz current choristers, look behind the scenes and join in activities around the cathedral.

The highlight will be the opportunity to sing Evensong with the cathedral choir in the afternoon. There will also be activities for parents on offer throughout the day.

The date for the next voice trials for those interested in auditioning for the choir is February 5, 2013.

No previous experience of singing is required for the taster day, says the cathedral’s director of music, Andrew Millington.

For more details about the day see www.exeter-cathedral.org.uk or contact Lucy Lewis on 01392 255298 or via email admissions@exetercs.org
