Town planners have supported improvements to various house in the town. Read this and more.
EXTENSION BACKED: Town planners have backed improvements to The Firs Residential Home, 33 West Hill.
The plan proposes single-storey extensions with alterations and improvements to vehicular access and car parking provision. The final decision will be made by district planners.
FLEECE STOLEN: On September 29 a ladies’ fleece was taken from the beach after it was left unattended.
ANNEXE GREENLIGHT: A bid to convert an existing barn and studio at Clyst Hayes, 2 Knowle Road, into annexe accommodation has been backed by the town council.
The final decision will be made by district planners.
SHOPLIFTING: A female entered a shop in High Street, selected an item from a shelf, hid it in a bag and left without paying, say police.
HOME IMPROVEMENTS: Two planning applications have been filed with district planners; replacement UPVC windows at 8A & 8B The Lawn Budleigh Salterton and construction of conservatory on rear elevation at 20 Fore Street Otterton.
Both applications will be considered by the district council.
TASTER DAY: Bicton College’s enormous range of career opportunities were on show to teachers and careers advisers at a special taster day. Activities included plasma welding, tractor diagnostics and pedigree sheep breeding.
