RNLI Shannon-class lifeboat trials at Exmouth.

RNLI crew members put the new Shannon-class lifeboat through its paces at Exmouth this week. Exmouth RNLI will have one of the new state of the art craft stationed at their Maer boathouse sometime towards the end of 2013. The lifeboat which features a water jet propulsion system comes with its own specially designed tractor and trailor which is able to launch and recover the boat and is fitted with a turntable which can spin the vessel 180 degrees to face back towards the water.
