Crowds of people took part in the Budleigh Salterton Christmas Day Swim

Dozens of people gathered on Budleigh’s pebble beach on Christmas Day for the annual dash into the sea. At 10am the swimmers, some dressed in festive costumes for the occasion, ran down the shingle and splashed into the waves with some diving straight into the sea. The spectacle attracted hundreds more who cheered on the swimmers and viewed the event from the cliff top around Steamer Steps.
