Ottery Carnival will go ahead tonight.

Organisers are satisfied that the weather has improved enough for the procession to take place safely.

They made the decision at lunchtime after monitoring the progress of Storm Brian throughout the morning.

The parade will take place at 7.30pm and will be followed by fireworks at 9.15pm.
