Plough and Share Credit Union has joined a new national partnership which should help it improve the services it offers.
The Credit Union Expansion Plan is a contract between the Government and the Association of British Credit Unions Limited (ABCUL).
Plough and Share’s Maureen Loman said: “ABCUL has appointed a programme director bringing 25 years’ experience with Nationwide, the country’s biggest mutual, who has led a number of large scale transformational programmes to drive growth and improve member experience.
“This should ensure that credit unions now will be able to introduce the changes that have been made possible through new legislation to ensure they become the financial services provider of choice for many more people living and working within Devon.
“Credit unions are at a very exciting period in their development and the Credit Union Expansion Project represents a fantastic opportunity for them.”
