Air Cadets from Exmouth 299 Squadron celebrated moving into their new purpose-built headquarters almost two years after leaving their old building.

Exmouth Air Cadets new HQ, near the top of Phear Park, includes a 25metre range for target shooting. The building has a drill hall and several classrooms for practical and academic lessons.

The new HQ, near the top of Phear Park, includes a 25m range for target shooting. The building has a drill hall and several classrooms for practical and academic lessons.

Currently the cadets are studying towards a BTec in aviation studies; those over the age of 14 are working towards Duke of Edinburgh awards and expeditions.

A team of cadets will this take part in this year’s Ten Tors event; others are training for the Nijmegen four-day march in Holland; they will cover 100 miles over the four days.
