A closure-threatened mental health facility in Exmouth is now available to groups dealing with related issues.

The Devon Partnership NHS Trust has previously announced plans to leave St John’s Court, however these have faced delays.

A spokesperson said: “While it remains our intention to move to more affordable premises in Exmouth in due course, we have confirmed that, with prior agreement, St John’s Court may be able to offer space to be used by compatible groups.

“Supporting the wide-ranging needs of people with mental health and learning disability issues is the underlying role of our organisation.

“If we are able to help, we are happy to facilitate a small number of groups and meetings related to this cause if we can do so without it impacting adversely on our day-to-day operations.”
