Exmouth Open Door Centre and Centre Stage are among the organisations which have been given a £2,200 donation by the Sun Masonic Lodge.

Exmouth charities including Open Door and Courtney Memory Café have benefitted from a raft of donations by a Masonic lodge.

The Sun Lodge’s Masonic Charities Association held a presentation evening for the organisations which were given a £2,200 cash boost in 2017.

Exmouth-based Courtney Memory Café and Open Door were given donations as well as the town’s beach rescue and gateway clubs, Exmouth in Bloom, the museum and the sea scouts.

Exeter-based charity Balloons also benefitted as did Exmouth-based Centre Stage who performed at the presentation evening.

The event opened with a welcome to the representatives of the charities from treasurer David Bassett and chairman of the Exmouth Masonic Charity Association David Greenaway.

This was followed by the Centre Stage performance and a buffet supper.

A spokesman for the lodge said all recipients expressed their thanks to the members of Sun Lodge for their ‘continued generosity’ to regional charities and organisations.
