BLAZE VICTIM: A man suffered burns when a fire broke out a garden shed in Exmouth.

Firefighters were called to a property in Bradham Lane on Friday evening and found a small fire had broken out in a detached shed. The crew put out the fire and gave first aid to a man at the scene.

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the cause of the fire was thought to be accidental.

“The fire was extinguished by fire crews using one hose reel jet and small tools to cut away hot spots,” said the spokesperson. “Fire crews rendered first aid to one male casualty suffering from minor burns. The casualty did not require any hospital treatment.”
