NEW HOME BACKED: Plans to build a new home in Lympstone have been supported by the parish council.

The plan is for a detached single-storey home to be built in the back garden of Higher Orchard in Burgmanns Hill.

East Devon District Council will now make the final decision.

SCREENING DATE: Non-invasive osteoporosis screenings are being offered at Glenorchy Church Hall on Wednesday, March 13, between 2pm and 6pm.

The scans, which look for risk of future osteoporotic fracture, cost £22. To book, call 0845 2246784.

CLADDING SUPPORTED: Plans to fit new cladding to the front of Exmouth Pavilion have been supported by East Devon District Council planning officers.

A final decision on the scheme will now be made by members of the council’s development management committee next week.

COFFEE MORNING: A coffee morning in aid of Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton Friends of cancer charity Force is being held on Saturday, March 9, from 10am until noon, at Withycombe Methodist Church hall, in Withycombe Village Road.

Entry is free, and on sale will be cakes, secondhand books, bric-a-brac and greetings cards. All are welcome.
