Revised plans to build 14 apartments in Littleham have again been opposed by Exmouth Town Council.
Developers want to build the flats at 34 Cranford Avenue and, having previously faced opposition from councillors, have proposed planting mature Austrian Pine trees to prevent the overlooking of neighbours.
However, at a planning meeting this week, councillors said this would not make a significant difference, and voted for their previous objections to continue, on the grounds that the plan was out of keeping, not in line with the avenues’ design statement, would overlook neighbours, and had inadequate parking provision.
They also questioned whether the development could overload the area’s sewage system.
East Devon District Council will make the final decision.
